4th of July will look a little different this year, as we’re opting for a small family gathering instead of our normal large, extended family party with everyone. There has been a major spike in covid cases, so we are trying to stay cautious and healthy.

I bought this blue striped dress for some mommy and me photos, and it is so comfortable & light making it perfect for a summer celebration. My favorite way to stay cool is wearing a good maxi or midi style dress.
I love the look of this dress with these red- low heeled sandals, but probably will opt for a more casual option for our small get together this year. These side panel maternity shorts are my absolute favorite style for summer. In the fall I like the higher bands on my maternity pants, but I do not like anything that will make me more sweaty in the heat. The side panel has the perfect amount of stretch for a growing baby bump, while helping you stay cool at the same time.
I’ll probably pair my shorts with some slide sandals, but you could always dress up the look with a low-heel sandal like these red ones, or opt for a dressier blouse. Even if you’re having a small get together, it’s nice to feel completely put together for special occasions.
