If you’ve been around here awhile then you know that before having my 4 beautiful children, I wore a size 4. I was sample size and could literally buy almost anything off the rack and it would fit. Fast forward to now, and I wear a size 14 to 16 and have to try EVERYTHING ON to see if it fits. So because I know the difficulty of finding size 14 women’s clothing online, or anywhere for that matter, that is on trend and affordable, enter the midsize edit. I’ve created the midsize edit to help guide other midsize women like myself- to finding cute and trendy clothes in our size. And yes we call it midsize because we’re not always considered regular size and not always considered plus size- if you know, you know.
So now that summer has arrived, it’s time to update your wardrobe without breaking the bank or waiting for weeks to get your online order, I scoured Amazon for the latest summer trends, available in size 14 womens and other midsize sizes (sizes 10-16, L-1X and even some plus sizes). The Summer Dress- Mid-size Women’s Finds
The first piece I love to update in my summer wardrobe is always a summer dress. I am still loving the puff sleeve dresses this summer and so is the rest of the internet, honestly. I also added some flowy maxi dresses to the list, which are always a classic summer wardrobe staple.
The Bodysuit- Mid-size Women’s Trend
One of this year’s biggest trends in women’s fashion is bodysuits, but if you’re midsize you may have been hesitant to try it. Bodysuits perfectly pair with summer denim or a summer suit, with no awkward lines or. wrinkles from tucking. They will stay in place as you move and give your outfits a sleek finish. So I saved a group of bodysuits available in midsize sizes in a variety of styles and necklines. The best part? They’re all under $25 so it’s easy to try this new style without breaking the budget. You can even bring the style into fall by layering them with your favorite fall trends.
The Romper- Midsize Women’s Style
Next up- the romper. Rompers are a cool and casual way to uplevel your summer outfits. Pairing a simple romper with your favorite summer sandals makes you look instantly put together, with such little effort. That’s my kind of outfit. Women’s Swim- Midsize Edit
Now we can’t go through summer without some cute swimwear, right?I added some really cute size 14 women’s swimwear to the list, or Large and XL women’s swim, and some is even available in plus sizes. You can top off your cute suit with a cute cover up and a straw bag to feel really beautiful and put together, even at the beach.
The Power Suit- Midsize Women’s Style
Lastly, but certainly not least- my absolute favorite summer trend: The Power Suit. This summer is your chance to rock a power suit, with suit shorts and a blazer. If you’re feeling really bold, try it in the trending hot pink or tone it down by opting for a neutral or even a print.
